Please join us on Thursday, October 25th, for an evening with artist and environmentalist Jim Draper and an “appetizer” preview of “Pascua Florida: Feast of Flowers,” opening later this year in Jacksonville.
Jim’s paintings show Florida’s native flora, fauna, and ecosystems in all their resilient, fragile, consumable glory. Selected paintings from the exhibit will be on display.
The evening will conclude with a conservation conversation, exploring how an appreciation of nature’s unique beauty can lead to actions that honor and preserve the natural world. Speakers will include noted environmental writer and filmmaker Bill Belleville and CEJ’s director, Sister Pat Siemen.
Florida’s Water and Land LegacyCongratulations to all who worked so diligently and passionately to collect the signatures required to place dedicated funding for conservation land acquisition on the ballot in 2014. More than 960,000 voters signed in support of this measure! Learn more about this initiative at Florida's Water and Land Legacy.org.
